Whether pure costume or classic jewellery with a considerable twist Kate Tazedakis' creations are characterised by a sense of supreme individuality. Born and brought up in Athens she graduated from the American College of Athens and left for London where she attended a course in psychology. Upon returning to Athens she started designing and creating jewellery in silver-plated & gilded bronze combi
ned with semi-precious stones. Tazedakis' diverse palette is vast and was thus invited by the Athens National Gallery to create jewellery inspired by famous greek artists of the 19ᵗʰ / 20ᵗʰ century whose works featured in the exhibition "Greek Landscape Painting"
The co-operation with the Athens Concert Hall gave her vent to enhance her originality. Inspired by the Neo Classical interior of the Benaki Museum in Athens Kate gives her rendition in some unique pieces of art.
