Today I have had the absolute honour of being part of The Henries Awards judging panel. The Henries Awards are the ultimate accolades in greeting card publishing, and each year receives several thousand entries! The award categories span the whole gamut of greeting card publishing, from humour to cute, art to children’s and everything in between, so I have had quite the day choosing the best of the best between hundreds of different greeting cards.
Thankfully they provided a delicious light lunch and refreshments, which gave me time to catch up with - our northern counterpart who were also crowned 'best independent non-specialist retailer of greeting cards' for 2026 🏆
And I got to stuff a goodie bag full of the lovely cards at the end to take home 🎁

A week ago today Gary and I were in London, very excited getting ready for our first ever RETAS Awards ceremony... never did I dare to imagine we'd win 🎉
Lovely to see this coverage from the local paper 😊

Reta is proudly on display alongside our 'Winner's Window' 🏆
Thanks to all the brilliant publishers who sent good luck and congratulations cards. It was a lovely touch and meant a lot.
This award is a huge achievement for Team Sewsilver. We are a tiny, but mighty crew, and my very grateful thanks go to assistant extraordinaire Nikki for her hard work and dedication, and to hubby Gary for his unwavering support and amazing ability to build/make/create all things display/furniture/lighting etc., alongside my wonderful father-in-law, without question and at the drop of a hat!
