Noticing all the beautiful flowers on my slow meander to the woods this morning.

SO many to see - send a shame not to share.

And a bonus Bee going about her business 🐝

Getting to know the living things in your neighborhood is superfood for the heart and soul (and makes us think more consciously about the rest of the natural world too).

Our innate need for deep connection with nature is something I feel passionately about - and it's infused in every piece of jewellery I make.

I think David Attenborough would agree too!!

Happy Birthday Sir David πŸ’š

HAPPY BELTANE/1ST MAY - celebrating the mid-point between spring equinox and the summer solstice, and also the full FLOWER MOON .

A reminder to reconnect with the seasons and the joy in nature at this time of year as flowers bloom, leaves unfurl and birds sing their little hearts out.

Hawthorn is one of the iconic sights of this time of year in our hedgerows, I just LOVE it - the sight of swathes of white blossom draping the branches of just so joyful and awe inspiring when you stop to take out all in.

The leaves make perfect pendants (especially with a little nod of sea glass added) and a little silver blossom would be sooooo beautiful.

Do you notice that some of the flower stamen are pink, and some aren't? The pink ones are beaming out to the pollinators that there's still pollen to be gathered - the others have all been visited. Nature knows what it's doing!!

Hop across to website shop (link in bio) to check out what little pieces of silver could keep you connected to nature.

I'm so delighted to now be part of the eco-wedding directory of The Natural Wedding Company, marking a slightly new step in my jewellery making journey - having decided that I want to focus on special occasions/celebrations (as that's what most of my creations are destined for anyway, it seems - which is sooo lovely) and moving towards more made to order/bespoke pieces - because it's fun and also much less wasteful of ever scarcer and more expensive silver ( I can make in the knowledge that the piece already has a home πŸ₯°)

Let's see where this goes πŸ˜ƒ

And of course if you or anyone you know is thinking about a unique piece of handmade jewellery to mark a special occasion, whether that's a wedding, a significant birthday, anniversary or something else ... You know where I am 😝

(There'll always be some bits ready to go too!!)

Hope you're all enjoying the sunshine!!

As today is Earth Day I thought it would be the perfect time to delight in some of the tiny bits of beauty that can be found in our hedgerows, woods and gardens - the living things that bring me joy, help me look after my well-being and infuse the jewellery that I make - creating nature connection with every piece.

They're also the things that make me very conscious about the impact, which is why I use recycled materials at every stage of my process.

And all of them are reminders of why it matters that we try our very best to make sure that we look after this planet of ours, so we can continue to enjoy these wonderful moments for years and years to come.

I have EXCITING news....

It has been a while, I know it's been noted by some πŸ˜…

My short break just before Christmas has turned into a rather longer than anticipated break from the old Insta ...

For which there are LOTS of reasons, including reflections about where I'm wanting to take my little nature loving jewellery business - more on that later.

BUT for now I'm simply sharing the exciting news that I have joined as a recommended supplier of wedding accessories.

Thanks to the lovely Charlie for adding me to the list, I'm delighted and can't wait to start adding some nature infused finishing touches to some lovely weddings and more special occasions.

I'll pop the link in my bio - and meanwhile I'm crack on with sharing some actual jewellery as I do have some ready to go ...(Website shop is finally getting restocked - link also in bio).

See you soon and let me know you've been up to - what have I missed??

Yuletide greetings to all you lovely folks πŸŒ²πŸ˜ƒ

As we head to the Winter Solstice (tomorrow) - aka shortest day of the year, the first day of astronomical winter and the first day of ye olde season of Yule - It's time for me to take a hint from nature, to quieten my busy brain and lean into all things cosy.

The wreath is made and up on the door (not the best I've ever made but I'm so pleased with myself that I foraged/scavenged and everything in it is compostable - I used Hazel twigs from my garden to make the ring).

I've finished my first jigsaw (always like to have one in the go at this time of year!). 🧩

I've got a stack of books waiting to be read πŸ“– and I'm looking forward to a break from tech, embracing a little bit of slowness, and getting out and about in nature more, just because I can!

Thank you to every one of you who shares my love of little wild things (and silver & seaglass) - I hope you get to lean into the cosy of winter for a little bit too.

I'll be back in January (when my shop will re-open)- and in the meantime, I'm wishing you a restful, joyful and peaceful Yule.

A visual ode to sea glass.

99% of the sea-glass I use is glass I have personally collected from beaches I happen to be visiting. Most often in UK. I made a conscious choice not to make 'special' trips j just to look for sea glass, unless I happen to be in the area for other reasons (like visiting family) because I'm conscious of my carbon footprint.

Most of the pieces I find are small, and often very irregular in shape - even though they are 'perfect'. Which is why I wire wrap most of them, to make the best of their uniqueness. I use recycled fine silver wire.

There's something about the embedded history, the connection with the past, the interplay between man and the touch of nature, and the thrill of finding a little drop of colourful 'mermaids' tears' on the beach, and a dash of silver - that somehow makes sea-glass feel a little bit special.

Even though inherently it's rubbish.

Something delicate, unique and beautiful from what was once discarded waste. If you've got a piece you're not sure what to do with - maybe I can help? (Just send me a πŸ‘‹)

And so many colours (though I'd love to find more blues πŸ’™)

Today I'm celebrating my favourite places along the British Coastline - we're so lucky!

And I'm so lucky that i love close to some really interesting beaches for beach finds.

But to be honest, I will see what I can find wherever I am - you just never know what the sea and the weather will tumble out onto the sand.

Plus it's a really good excuse to step outside and benefit from all the salt ions and fresh air that a walk along the beach can give you.

Do you look for things? What's your favorite find?

(A couple of these are in my shop but most haven't made it there yet so if there's something you like, just drop me a little message - you might be able to grab it in time for Xmas!)

Today's selection all from my garden.

"Ooo they"re like miniature silver landscapes of plants!!" - exclaimed a lovely visitor to the Xmas Fair when she saw the imprints, and I loved that idea!!

Imprints of leaves, flowers and berries, hand built flowers and layer-painted leaves - all made from silver clay and all starting life as part of a plant growing in my garden in Hampshire.

Proof that you don't have to step far to find detail and beauty in nature.

They will eventually land in the website shop - but in the meantime, here for your enjoyment (and if you see anything you like, drop me a dm 😊).

As we head onto the last week or so before Xmas I have to be honest, I am running out of steam!!! πŸ’€

There are a few pieces that need to be added to my website which means photographing, twiddling them about a bit, uploading, some descriptions etc etc - which always takes SOOOOO much longer than I optimistically hope it will πŸ˜…

So meanwhile, whilst I'm plugging away behind the scenes, here is the collection of fine silver leaves from my local hedgerows that are ready to buy. Some have a little added unique bits of sea glass too.

One of a kind, handmade from locally foraged and found little pieces of nature - perfect for keeping you, or a nature- lover in your life, connected with the little bit of wild outside our front doors.

Still time to grab something before Xmas - last day to buy from me in time for posting in time for Xmas is Friday (19th)... Pop me a message if any are calling your name (you might save me a job πŸ˜‰πŸ˜…).

More pieces coming.... Coastal, sea-glass and a handful of botanicals.

Yule activities continue behind the scenes (quite a few unhappy experiments over the past week!! πŸ₯Έ).

BUT - back on track with things I AM happy with... (And I've already had some pre-order requests - thank you, you know who you are 😍)

Some cute little clay and sea-glass Xmas-tree tree decorations...

And some herby imprints tiny bowls and coasters and some some stars with various yule- greetings. All need to dry and be finished with some paint and sealant (non toxic) to keep the moisture out!

Waiting for some more clay to arrive so I can make some more....

Pics still to be made...

Back to the jewellery soon too πŸ™‚ -

SOOOO much to do still to get ready for the in-person Christmas Fair in just over 2 weeks' time.

(haven't even thought about my online shop - though there are some things waiting for new homes on there! - link over in my bio ... And always feel free to message me if you see something you fancy...)

Anyway - tme for a cuppa before I get busy again...
