The alternative birthstone in addition to pearls is the cool delicate moonstone with it’s enchanting blue glints. Moonstones are said to have calming and balancing properties. They are associated with feminine energy and new beginnings and are often used as a talisman for personal transformation, new ventures, and navigating life’s cycles.
From our moonstone collection we showcase three handmade piece: a large oval silver set moonstone pendant with 9ct gold details, a silver moonstone ring flanked with pink sapphire & blue topaz flush set stones and a 9ct gold set moonstone pendant on a seed pearl necklace. All three have been handmade in our workshop. Any one of these would make a beautiful gift to celebrate a June birthday! 🌙

June’s birthstone is the beautiful and perennial pearl. Once thought to be the tears of the gods, their luminous lustre against the skin brings a special radiance to the wearer which is the reason they have graced pieces of jewellery throughout the decades and been worn by kings and queens.

Unveiling a new piece from our own collection has just been finished in our workshop! This 9ct gold necklace has small spaced pendant nuggets alternately flush set with sparkling diamonds in star settings and those in between embellished with engraved stars. A timeless necklace that looks beautiful on its own and will be perfect for layering up with other chains and pendants while adding that special touch of sparkle! 💎✨

We’re delighted to welcome our lovely jeweller Lucy on her first day back at her bench after becoming a new mum! We’ve really missed her and have been keeping her bench warm in preparation for her return! Lucy will be juggling time with her little girl Rosie and 3 days at work starting on commissions lined up for her return. It was July when she went on maternity leave and those past months seem to have flown by so quickly.
Welcome back multitasking & multitalented mama!🥰

A joyous pop of colour is a feature of this eye catching bespoke multi stone ring recently finished in our on-site workshop. We used our customer’s 18ct gold and added some additional 18ct to make the ring and rubover settings. Each stone signifies a special meaning for our customer. The central emerald is her own birthstone, the diamond came from her engagement ring and the aquamarine is her husband’s birthstone. Three other stones; a garnet, amethyst and pink topaz are her three sons’ birthstones. This colourful array is completed with a ruby celebrating her special wedding anniversary. The arrangement of the stones was very important with the emerald birthstone positioned central with the other stones surrounding it, signifying the family unit. The result is a vibrant celebration of love and family marking a milestone anniversary.

This commissioned pendant was made in our workshop using the customer’s gold which was melted down to form a new pendant with a surface texture reminiscent of the full moon. A touch of sparkle comes from the flush set diamond that we reused from one of her melted down items. It’s always so rewarding to work with our customers and remodel their broken or unloved jewellery, transforming it into new pieces to be enjoyed once again!

It’s pink and green …. it’s tourmaline! It feels like spring is just around the corner when you look at these beautiful tourmaline pieces with colours reminiscent of new budding leaves and blossom. We’re not quite there yet, but February isn’t so far away so we’ve sneaked in a few hearts with next month’s Valentine’s Day just around the corner. Here we’re showcasing two beautiful necklaces in ombré shades of pink and green tourmaline, one accented with small hand made gold details. These are layered with a delicate gold chain with tiny spaced beads complementing them perfectly. The two very different style green tourmaline rings in 18ct gold have been handmade in our on-site workshop. In our pendant collection, two feature beautiful green tourmalines. The stone set circle and plain polished heart are handmade in our workshop and we’ve all fallen completely in love with the gorgeous sparkling green heart shaped tourmaline pendant! 💚
