Scunthorpe Fossils…..these stunning Ammonites are very hard to prepare, from start to finish they test the patience of any skilled preparator from chiselling the matrix from around the fossil to removing the shell of the Ammonite and then grinding and polishing the calcite filled chambers to reveal the beautiful suture pattern and array of colours these magnificent ammonites are preserved in. An increasingly rare opportunity to acquire some of the most colourful fossils from the UK. Not only are these specimens unique to this location they are no longer available since the quarries that yielded them are now closed.
These fossils are therefore not only very desirable to collectors they will also grace any home or office as a truly unique piece of natural art……..

New stock of Polished pyrite Cannonballs to be uploaded to the website 6pm Sun 12th Oct 2025
As well as the traditional Cannonballs, over the past few years Ive been inspired to create something a bit more sculptural with the fossils not only with the cannonballs ive done here but with other fossils ive been working on for a number of years which I will be showcasing on the website soon.......Mike

New Stock uploaded this morning polished whitby Ammonite nodules each containing a Dactylioceras ammonite and polished on the outside of the nodule making a great gift or a just to have as a talking point in the home a natural piece of art.

Couldnt resist in taking this Scunthorpe Ammonite for a wander on the night of the incredible display from mother nature, the colours in the Ammonite reflect the green colours of the Aurora a perfect match......

Yorkshire Coast Fossils
Website Update.....New Stock
I have prepeared some new fossils for the website over the past few weeks including Scunthorpe Ammonites, Whitby Ammonites and Vertabrea, All of the Scunthorpe pieces were collected over 25 years ago, and all the fossils were prepared in our workshop Nr Whitby.
These fossils will be uploaded to the Website Sat 5th Oct 2024 6pm.
