Heirlooms was established in 1986 and has remained the only jeweller in the Purbeck market town of Wareham ever since. You might think a condiment set would only have two pieces - one for salt, one for pepper. But the Victorians introduced a mysterious third shaker! It is believed that this would contain other spices, mustard powder or even sugar.

Just look at the two beauties in the centre of this incredible ring!

A 4mm round, old brilliant-cut diamond with a 5mm round, mixed cut, Royal Blue sapphire flanked on either side by a vertically set diamond and sapphire combination with each stone measuring approx. 3mm. All set in unmarked white precious metal rubover settings with milled edges, the shoulders are formed from three round-cut diamonds set in individual round and pear-shaped milligram settings with an unmarked yellow gold undermount and tapered shank.

What a spectacular piece of jewellery! Dates from the early 20th century, probably from the Art Deco period.

These earrings were a very special commission made by me in my own workshop!

I created them using a wax carving technique and then casting them in sand. All of the silver was recycled and the baroque pearls were cultured, with handmade pins running through them.

Unlike other gems, pearls, the birthstone for June, are formed naturally within molluscs, giving them a soft lustre and unique beauty that has captivated collectors and jewellery lovers throughout history.

Baroque pearls are any pearls that aren’t a symmetrical shape. The pearls you can see in the picture that we have in the shop are delicious large baroque pearls that really make a statement! Celebrities like Helen Mirren have been spied on the red carpet wearing these unique and luminous stones.
