Angela Learoyd Jewellery Contemporary handmade studio jewellery. The combination of these elements gives my work its signature design aesthetic. My pieces are comfortable and wearable.

Two themes are discernible throughout my work – textured and formed silver combined with interesting and unusual semi-precious gemstones. I try hard to to source the most interesting stones to work with. I particularly like the markings on Jaspers and Agates and am always searching for stones cut in unusual shapes, with matt finishes. I often start with the stone itself and this informs my design process. Experimenting with textures on silver allows me to echo the markings of the stone. My favourite texturing techniques are hammering and roll printing. I use silver sheet, tube and wire to form my shapes. Some of the metalsmithing techniques I use are doming, swaging and press forming. They allow me to produce three dimensional, sculptural shapes. My aesthetic is modern and bold with simple clean lines. They are often matt with subtle colourings. My aim is for my pieces to make an understated statement.

We are delighted to be back at the Bowhouse in St Monans on 7th & 8th of November for our annual Winter Art and Craft Market.
Lots of ENOS members are making work in preparation for this event! We have some new members who will be participating for the first time and some wonderful guest artists. We hope to collaborate and share everyone’s work during October and early November.

There are great food and drink options at the Bowhouse and plenty of free parking.

We hope you will save the date - and come and see the amazing work of local artists and creatives. A great opportunity to start looking for Christmas gifts.
