This fabulous 'Family & Friends' medal collection is almost a family tree with Dad and Mum's medals displayed at the top and two sets of Uncles and Aunts below... and it's great to see the ladies are well represented here. The set includes two London Ambulance drivers in the Blitz, an ATS Sergeant and a Leading Aircraft Woman (LACW) in the RAF.

A family wanted four sets of duplicate medal displays for each of the children to be able to keep of this Royal New Zealand Navy Commander.

The display includes a cap badge and photograph alongside his set of medals, which include WW2 War Medals, New Zealand Operational and Defence Service Medals as well as those having also served in the Korean War.

This set of medals for wear includes the Special Constabulary Long Service Medal on the right and it is the first one we've seen here!

Instituted in August 1919, it was awarded to a special constable who has served for 9 years of unpaid service, with over 50 duties per year and has been recommended by the chief officer of police.

We were supplied with this set of WW2 medals that had been very badly mounted (scroll for the Princess Power! 😂)

Alongside the medals was an amusing old photograph of the recipient with fellow servicemen enjoying the fruits of their labour at a banana plantation! 🍌

Medals now polished, ribbons replaced, photograph touched up and re-printed for display and all now beautifully framed with their plaque to remember an RAF Wireless Operator who served in the east.

Family medals framed in both full size and miniature.

An array of medals came to us for framing as part of a family group, including two uncles who fought in WW2 who were in the Royal Navy, one of whom sadly died in action, aged just 21. The General Service Medal was their Dad's, who was a Grenadier Guard. The fourth set of miniatures has been earned by the brother, from serving 24 years in the Royal Artillery.

A great legacy and lovely to have them all framed together.

Before and after photos of these two sets of WW1 medals that we mounted for Sussex Yeomanry, ready to go on display at the Newhaven Museum. Cleaned and given new ribbons, then court mounted, they look much smarter now.

If you follow us, this pair of swing mounted medals may look familiar, though some eagle eyed followers spotted that they were mounted in the incorrect order! Unusually, the Nuclear Test Medal should indeed actually be mounted after the Long Service Medal... so we promptly contacted our customer and rectified the situation. So for your peace of mind, here is the corrected version in time for Remembrance Sunday.

We were of course just testing you all! 😉🏅

A new medal in for us, we recently swing mounted these two medals for wear. The RAF Long Service Medal sits alongside the recently established Nuclear Test Medal.

The Nuclear Test Medal is awarded to personnel who served at the locations where the UK atmospheric nuclear tests were conducted, including the preparatory and clear-up phases, between 1952 and 1967.

EDIT: Many thanks to the eagle eyed who have spotted and let us know that these medals have indeed been mounted the wrong way around! We have now contacted the customer to rectify the situation. Unfortunately as can be seen in the discussion below, the correct order for new medals such as these are not well documented, but we apologise for the mistake and will be more careful to double check going forwards.

An MBE that needed to go in a case for easy access and required a specific tartan as the backdrop to show the recipients Scottish heritage. We designed this custom case in a stained oak, with an anti-reflective glass and with brass hinges and catch. The brooch on the reverse of the ribbon attaches securely to a small wooden block whilst in the case and can be easily removed for wear whenever it is needed.
