Spending many hours as a child making bracelets for family, friends and to sell on behalf of charities, encouraged always by my amazing mum and dad!
25 years later I am still making bracelets and have now, thanks to my wonderful customers, made this into a full-time job to support my family. HOW DID DESPICABLY CHARMING START? Living so close to and working in multicultural London all my life has
graced me with friends from across the globe and when those near and dear to me have to move back home we love to stay in touch. Facebook and email are great for that but there is nothing like a little surprise package from a friend to give you that extra special boost and help close the miles between you. I have been working as a professional designer for 15 years and have always been told I have a way with words when it comes to sentiments so I put these to good use making backing cards for the bracelets I gave to my friends to add extra special meaning to them. Soon after, friends and family who had received these bracelet cards were asking me if I could make them for their friends/events and so Despicably Charming was born. We helped them celebrate everything including weddings, birthdays, christenings and memorials, it was an honour to be part of so many of their special occasions. Despicably Charming has now sold 15,000+ bracelets in over 46 countries worldwide (including all 50 states of the USA) helping friends stay in touch, brides propose to their bridesmaids, families to remember a loved one, fitness groups encourage their members to stay strong and even large corporations for their team building retreats to help identify delegates.
