Cornwall is an endless source of inspiration for us whether it is the chaffinch on the bird feeder, beach combing or the wild and windswept moors, Our pieces become a record of a walk, time spent in the landscape, moments held in artworks. A little bit of drawing for a change, a blackbird in ink with a feather. This process is always
wonderfully unpredictable and that’s exactly why I use it… I wasn’t particularly happy with
the end drawing… but that’s fine because it just gives me something to monoprint over and
you know how I love combining processes!… I will do anything to get away from perfection in
drawing and painting…and this is a reaction to being exactly the opposite sometime ago….

Large Pumpkin leaf monoprint, printmaking from the vegetable garden. I love printing larger leaves I find it so exciting to reveal the detail… I live a sheltered life , the prints you get from each side are quite different, you can see how I pause when I reveal the second print because I’m so stunned by the intricacy .I hope you like it too!
