A beautiful green Tourmaline with a little diamond for that extra sparkle. This one is a little narrower than my usual Lines band, with 9ct white gold running through the centre of the 9ct yellow gold band.

The Tourmaline is set in a slightly more luxurious 14ct yellow gold mount - it’s also a little gentler on the stone when bezel setting.

This one is for the gallery. It’s been sitting on my bench for months (commissions always come first!). One reason I hadn't finished it was that I couldn't decide what the smaller stone would be. Finally I went for the brilliant-cut diamond. A classic combination.

I'm happy with how it’s turned out. What do you think?

Today’s sky and sea are reflected perfectly in this bespoke commission from 2020. Handmade in high-carat yellow gold, the ring combines the client’s reclaimed diamonds with a vivid, blue Zircon, chosen for its extraordinary vibrancy. The contrast of the vibrant blue and warm gold feels especially fitting on su ch a bright, sun-drenched day. Doesn't it! 😎

Wide, Lines ring in sterling silver and 9ct yellow gold. I like the vibrant green of the Peridot.

This is the last piece I finished before going away ( my hands look marginally better now that I have had a break from hand making 😂). This ring is for the gallery so you are welcome to come and have a closer look!

Meanwhile, here's a little 2 diamond , 18ct gold ring that I made from a couple of badly damaged old rings which were sentimentally very significant to my client. I cleaned them up, melted them down, rolled the gold, shaped the bezel settings and set the little diamonds. I really enjoyed making this little one from scratch! Quite surprised by how sparkly the diamonds look now. Pity I can't find a picture with the original rings !

I love the colour of the Spinel on this square, Phases ring that I have just finished making. It's interesting how the depth of the smoky, deep blue/green colour of the Spinel is complemented by the the warm colour of the 18ct gold alloy that I mixed for this ring. All handmade, a special present for a very special person. ✨

Spinels are wonderful gemstones, resilient enough to wear every day. They are 8 on the Mohs scale for hardness. Sapphires are 9 and diamonds are 10, the hardest.

I can't believe I don't have a photo of me wearing this Klary Twist gold bangle! Thinking back, I think it was quite a large size, that must have been the reason.
