Amelia was told we're going to Telford and thats all you need to know!

Alex & Amelie hit the road from Nottingham and headed to NICOL STUDIO for a surprise silversmithing experience!

Was lovely meeting this pair and seeing Amelia getting to grips with the tools to craft her own sterling silver stacking rings.

He certainly has set the bar high for Christmas so I shared a tools list with him 😎

Welded Jewellery

For those who don't want to faff with clasps and wish to mark special occasions & friendships ✨️

🔥 Hot topic 🔥

There's a lot of heat surrounding welded jewellery predominantly from the older generations on MRI's.

I can state that these are safe to be worn, however, as its a relatively "new" concept (it's actually been around for years, but ya know), some medical staff will advise you to remove it. You can do this yourself by cutting the welded link with a pair of nail clippers and then have it welded post MRI.

Airport security - they are absolutely fine to wear and no one, including myself - that always gets stopped for a drug check as I clearly look like a Russian drug mule, has made it safely to their holibob destination welded jewellery intact, pride maybe not so much post being pulled up in front of hundreds, but we move! 🤣

Friends, stacking rings & a whole lot of fun

There’s something lovely about bringing a good friend along to the studio and making something together.

These two spent some proper time at the bench crafting their own sterling silver stacking rings, learning new skills, having a giggle and enjoying the process.

No pressure to make it perfect. Just good company, creative time and the satisfaction of leaving with something you’ve made with your own hands.

Because sometimes the best memories are the ones you can wear afterwards.

😍 Forging eachothers wedding bands 😍

There’s something pretty special about making the rings you’ll exchange on your wedding day with the person you’re going to share that life with.

These two came into NICOL Studio and took on the challenge of crafting each other’s wedding bands, learning the tools, working the silver and enjoying the process.

A pair of rings made by each other, for each other, with a whole lot of love and a few laughs along the way.

Now that’s a wedding ring with a story worth wearing.

✨️👶A little time for just the two of them before baby number two arrives👶✨️

This lovely soon-to-be mum and dad came along to NICOL Studio to spend a few hours together at the bench, slowing down from the whirlwind of everyday life and crafting their own sterling silver rings.

There’s something rather lovely about making something side by side. A bit of chatting, a bit of laughing, a little concentration and plenty of memories made along the way.

These rings will always carry a little piece of this chapter with them. A reminder of their time together before their family grows once more.
