I've been working on a pair of Drift hoop earrings, theses hoops are made from 100% recycled silver. Each granule of silver is soldered one by one and inspired by the Gower coastline. I find this process is so relaxing listening to music repeating something over and over takes my mind to a very calm place.
This piece is an order but you can always email me to order one for yourself.....

This week was find a maker week......
I didn't manage to multi-task and complete the instagram posts along side making but heres a quick introduction to me and my work..........amaker is a directory of makers which I was lucky enough to be selected for this year, the first picture is of me at Craft Festival Wales in September which is a wonderful event and I was very thrilled to be a part of it. Its been a busy year for me and I'm very excited to see how things will develop.
I work from my studio in South Wales ten minutes away from the beautiful gower peninsula where Ollie my chocolate lab has regular walks making it inevitable that my inspiration is taken from the weathered textures found there.
I love layers and patterns that come from organic structures and textures.
I completed a degree in Design Crafts back in 2001 which was the best opportunity to explore all areas of craft, I still have a love of ceramics and I am trying to squeeze in clay work with when I can.
I completed a masters in metalwork and jewellery design in Sheffield Hallam University in 2004 and I have returned to making after 11 years of lecturing 3D design, I'm very lucky to now make all day!

This weekend I'm looking forward to being back at Elmslie house in Wi******er Malvern with bluemagpie craft for their contemporary craft fair.

I will be there on Sunday 16th of November 10.30 - 4.00pm. The Craft fair is held in the beautiful Elmslie house with over 60 amazing makers showing work over the weekend.

I will be brining new pieces such as the pendant above which is made from a mix of 9ct gold and sterling silver granules.

Look forward to seeing you there!

I'll be at the beautiful Tretower court in Crickhowell on Saturday the 15th of November with . I've been busy making and I'll be brining along with me a collection of Drift dusk earrings at a variety of different lengths. This pair is made from 9ct gold and sterling silver ganules. I'm looking forward to being back at this beautiful venue hope to see you there.

I've been lacking in motivation or maybe just having time to make work recently, and it can be frustrating. Being a maker you are usually in one room for long periods of time and getting out to see exhibitions and gather inspiration is an important part of your work sometimes its easy to forget this when your very busy. helped with rediscovering me exhibition in swansea. I plan to remind myself to do this more often!

I've been busy making for up and coming winter markets and exciting new gallery collections.

Here's a little part of the process that goes into the drift stud earring from the drift collection.

Made from sterling silver, each granule is soldered individually to create the organic texture of these subtle everyday unique earrings that can be worn in different ways.

I'm working on more Dusk drift earrings today. All of this style has been sold apart from the last image dusk double drift earrings. So I'm replenishing stock for up and coming winter fairs in November and creating new designs.

2nd day at Craft Festival Wales, what an incredible craft festival. I've had such a wonderful time thank you to those who stopped to talk about my work and bought pieces.

It's been absolutely amazing to be alongside so many talented makers.
