✨️ June birthdays get the ultimate flex: the only gemstone created by a living creature! 🦪

While other birthstones are minerals formed deep in the Earth, the pearl is entirely organic. Its born from a biological defense mechanism - a mollusc protects itself from a tiny irritant which gets inside its shell and wraps it in thousands of microscopic, iridescent layers of nacre (mother of pearl).
