One job that had been niggling me on the sportshatch was the fuel tank leaking when it had approx half a tank of fuel. So going back to may 2023 I took it down to refurbish the tank and replace the leaking breather pipes also to give the area underside a re -fresh. However this has been ongoing and a somewhat small job escalated into a much bigger and ongoing job including re-fabrication of the passenger side sill. Previously covered by chrome trim the rust underneath went undetected.....

A new lease of life for this little old fiesta I repaired during the summer. The insurance had written it off as understandably uneconomical to repair. But the owner bought it back and bought it up to me to be repaired. I sourced the relevant body panels in the right colour silver ,a replacement wheel Also a suspension leg as the original had taken most of the impact causing it to distort.... also a full service and timing belt replacement followed by a full mot to complete the job to see the owner re-United with his trusty fiesta ....

This discovery that belongs to a former work colleague of mine .he had previously had accident damage repaired by someone else in which they had replaced the drivers side door. He was then left unable to lock the vehicle the window didn't work properly and the door speaker was inoperative. Solution was a replacement loom and on inspection the internals of the door lock were at fault...

Another job from the summer. A good friend's fiesta he'd been saying the suspension had become really harsh and requested that I replace all the shock absorbers and springs . Indeed the front pair had lost all their fluid. Also I replaced a rather sad looking steering rack gaiter too ...

One from a few months ago now (I hadn't had time to update this page) another corsa c with the dreaded water ingress . This one was wet on both sides and with the relay/bcm box full of water! This time an auto one so at least with no clutch master cylinder aperture, one less chance of a leak ! Also time for an overdue timing belt replacement. I also courteously replaced the old roof aerial seal .

It's been a long time since I've updated this page as to what I have been working on.
I've this corsa b 1.4 cdx that was only supposed to be a timing belt change , a replacement radiator and a set of 2nd hand injectors to try and remedy an intermittent misfire.. However I noticed the scuttle was rotten caused by a blocked drainage hole . So the rot was cut out and a new piece fabricated and welded in place . I also managed to source a new air conditioning condenser.

It's been nice to have one of these gems on the drive again. No sadly it's not mine but a lot of jobs for a customer. S...

It's been nice to have one of these gems on the drive again. No sadly it's not mine but a lot of jobs for a customer. Sort the usual mini oil leaks , a full service and rear brake overhaul plus a few other smaller titivating jobs . Was fun to get behind the wheel of one again , and the customer left with a smile on his face which is what makes it all worth it .

Here's a little vauxhall you don't see many of now . This little corsa b 1.4 gls with only 17k on the clock had broken down . Fault was down to one of the in tank hoses had failed. When replacing these in tank hoses the correct grade submersible hose needs to be used or it just degrades from contact with the fuel . A previous repair had been done using just standard hose which is designed for use for fuel just on the inside...
