We are proud to support the special offering of The Legacy Qur’an.

This is a special edition Qur’an designed exclusively for Cambridge Central Mosque by leading masters in calligraphy, manuscript illumination and cover design from Türkiye.

This precious gift is presented with a beautifully designed leather effect and a heavy duty clasp cover. It is calligraphed in Naskh script by grand master calligrapher, Hüseyin Kutlu, who is also the calligrapher for the Mosque’s majestic calligraphed roundels and mihrab panels.

Inspired by ‘The Conference of the Birds’ or ‘Mantiq Al-Tayr’ - a long and celebrated Sufi poem of approximately 4500 lines written in Persian by the great poet Farid ud-Din Attar (ca. 1142–1220), who is commonly known as Attar of Nishapur.
