Hands for Youth aim to provide a safe and engaging environment for the youth of South Tyneside.

The UK supermarket chain announced on Thursday, October 22, that it's launching a new promotion for first-time online customers. New shoppers who sign up to Asda email marketing through the Asda website or app and spend £60 or more on their initial grocery order, excluding delivery fees and other exclusions, will receive a £30 eVoucher to redeem on a subsequent shop, plus one month's free delivery.

Due to the significant water damage we faced, we're looking for donations of:
Beanbags,
Rugs,
Foam squares for the floor,
Board games

Would be greatly appreciated as ours were all damaged in the incident 😞

🌈 Introducing Mighty Minds! 🌈

A safe, supportive programme for young people aged 8–14 to learn grounding techniques, understand their emotions, and build the confidence to talk about how they feel — without judgment. 💛

🧠 Why Mighty Minds?
With so many young people struggling with their mental health, Mighty Minds gives them a space to learn how to regulate emotions, manage overwhelm, and create their own personal “safety toolbox” to use whenever things feel tough.

📍 Location: 71 Fowler Street, South Shields, NE33 1NT
📅 Starting: 2026 — Saturdays
⏰ Time: 10:30–11:30AM / 11:30–12:30PM
💷 Cost: FREE
✨ Each session will be grouped with up to 6 young people
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Created by young people, for young people, in collaboration with Hands for Youth CIC and funded by the National Lottery Community Fund.

Hi all, over the weekend, we had an incident within our property which resulted in major damages, and for the safety and wellbeing of all young people and our staff our youth centre will remain closed until further notice.

All clubs and wellbeing sessions are cancelled and if you have prepaid for sessions, you will be refunded.

We are hoping the clean up and renovation won’t take too long, but we thank you for your patience and kindness in this difficult time.
