Mimi B Jewellery is made using .925 sterling silver, .999 fine silver and 24 carat gold. I use top quality semi precious stones, pearls and Swarovski crystals. All my jewellery is handmade by me and therefore no two pieces are exactly the same, any 'imperfections' are a sign of hand crafting and only add to the individual charm and character of each piece. This is a collection to capture those precious memories forever, be it for the birth of a child, a christening, birthday or a gift to simply say 'I love you'. A handprint, footprint or even paw print for your four legged friend, can be captured in fine silver. If you have a favourite drawing or handwritten message, this can be made into a unique piece to carry with you wherever you go. ABOUT FINE SILVER
The hand crafted fine silver pieces are made from .999 fine silver which is 99.9% pure silver. These are made from silver clay, an eco-friendly material made from reclaimed silver. The difference between fine silver and sterling silver is the silver content. .925 sterling silver is 92.5% silver to which other metals are added to make an alloy (primarily copper). The addition of other metals gives it its strength, making it suitable for producing large functional objects. Although fine silver is not quite as hard as sterling silver, it is perfect for jewellery and has the added benefit of tarnishing more slowly than sterling silver.
