This weekend I’m off to Essex for the at Ingatestone Hall. The second image is the layout for the show and you’ll find me in the garden marquee.
It’s going to be a scorcher (although a little cooler than the previous days) so if you have tips for keeping cool in a marquee please let me know.

I just had a bit of a ‘pinch me’ moment while talking to my Dad on the phone. He asked what I was doing, my reply - “I’m just setting some diamonds in a ring”! 🤷‍♀️

WTH! When I started making jewellery never did it even cross my mind that I’d be working with diamonds, even less so that I would be making a diamond ring 💍 yet here I am, almost ten years after staring my business. It just goes to show that you can do anything you want if you’re interested enough to learn and you don’t give up.

Setting stones like this, flush with the surface of the metal can be very frustrating, drill the hole just a fraction of a millimetre too big and the stone won’t stay put so getting this right has taken a lot of practice. I didn’t give up and now I get it right more often than wrong - but I still hold my breath until it’s finished.

This black diamond ring might be for sale, it’s a size O which fits me perfectly so if no-one wants it I might just have to keep it.

Just ten minutes of wave therapy this morning recharged my batteries after a very full on few days in Oxford.

The sea was very choppy and the waves were coming from all angles, a little bit of sunshine added some sparkle. Just perfect 🌊

Now home and starting to prep for my next event on Saturday in Dorset.

I’m sorry I’ve neglected my account the last few days to focus on promoting this event, Clay-Southwest which is this coming Saturday at just off the A30 between Exeter and Honiton. Really easy to get to and well sign posted.
I’d really love it if you could come along and support the makers, all of whom create totally different things out of mud. If you can’t get there, please share the info to friends who might want to come along.
I don’t have a stall so I will be found watching the demos or eating cake 🍰 can’t think of a better way to spend the day.

Thank you to everyone who braved the heat at the weekend to visit my stall either in the Exchange in Devizes or at the Sherborne Castle country fair, I appreciate every one of you.

My next outing with my jewellery at at Waterperry Gardens near Oxford isn’t for three weeks but the weekends in between will still be busy, firstly I’ll be working at the at Newton Abbot racecourse this weekend, a great place to find gorgeous beads and stones and a must visit if you’re a crystal collector.

The weekend after that is the first ‘Clay-Southwest’ ceramics fair which I am organising as part of . I won’t be having a stall there so I’ll be enjoying helping out the other stall holders, watching the demos and eating the amazing cake made in house by our hosts . Please come along if you can and tell all your friends about it, it will be so good if it’s a successful day.
