Seaton Sluice used to be home to the largest glass factory in the country. About 4 years ago I started to collect “treasure” from Seaton Sluice at Charlie's garden and Collywell bay, although I have always been a crafty person this was a new venture for me. I started wire wrapping pretty pieces and then gained the confidence to drill holes for bails on pendant

s..the rest is history. Alongside my raw sea glass jewellery I now make kiln glass from pieces of glass that may be chipped or a not so perfect shape . My kiln glass jewellery is mainly made from waste sea-glass though a few pieces are from Sapphire Gin bottles ! Another type of sea glass is “milk glass” or “jadeite” the jadeite pieces originally started life as tiles, the white milk glass more commonly were Ponds cold cream jars or similar. It's amazing what you can create with a little time and imagination.
