Umbrellas up, spirits high! โ˜”โœจ

Rainy day, great company, unforgettable memories. ๐ŸšŒโค๏ธ Thanks Redhill and surrounding community for opening your homes and hosting over 100 year 9 students for 3 nights this week all the way from South East of outside Paris, France.

The teachers commented on how nice everyone is and nothing says you are in Britain more than an umbrella and sunglasses ๐Ÿ˜œ

We have 5 hosts who were available to host from Redhill and Felbridge on 15th June and Horley on 16th June due to changes in thier own circumstances have now cancelled.

This has left us in a pickle as we have a lot of students booked to travel that week- it's our last multi centre week of the season.

Pleaee get in touch asap if you are able to help and host that week or pleaee pass on our number as we HAVE to make these trips happen for the students

Language school info.....

We have 3 language schools this year, each one starts on a Wednesday and runs for 14nights. Each host has 2 students aged 12-18 (usually 14-15 though) who are sent by thier parents to study English and from all over France.

The students usually won't of met before the trip, so we have just 2 students per host family. The students are collected/dropped on baggage days from Coulsdon South Station. Drop off is around 8am each morning and collection is 7pm. The rest of the stays they are dropped to their language lessons location (either the Carrington school or East Surrey College both in Redhill. They are collected each evening from the rear entrance of Redhill Train Station (by Toby Carvey)

The students have English lessons for 8 mornings during the stay with our ESL teachers. Then have an afternoon in London with thier tour guides, it's a very full programme. They also will need some washing done during the stay. Board basis is the same as our shorts stays.

On a Sunday during the stay the students have a Sunday as a family day. Where they spend time with you and join in with your own families weekend activities.

Dates for this are 1st July with a 7pm pick up to 15th July 8am drop off. 29th July to 12th Aug and 12th Aug to 26th Aug.The rate is ยฃ32per student per night

Wow what a change in weather.... as we have had a run of weeks with lots of changes from the schools and hosts it would be great if we could go out on a high with no last min changes.

So please can you dm me (even if you did the google doc) with a thumbs up and the dates for the next 2 weeks confirming availability. If you can do both dates please write both dates.

As always I'll try my best for you to host the gender that you prefer and ideal location, but as I can't control now many boys/girls are on the trip and other hosts availability, it's a juggling act and I appreciate your flexibility as I am trying my best to accomodate everyone's needs from both sides.

We urgently need a host family for 4 boys from Felbridge (meeting point for dropping and collecting is the Star pub/Permier Inn) on arriving in the evening on Wednesday 3rd June for 4 nights and leaving on Sunday 7th in the morning.... it's a great chance to earn ยฃ424!!!!

In Redhill this morning we waved goodbye to 115 year 9 students from the Brittany/Normandy Boarder in France ๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท

A good time was had by all and they are welcome back to us any time, have a lovely last day visiting Portsmouth and enjoy your ๐ŸŸ and ๐ŸŸ . Thanks to our amazing host families ๐Ÿ˜˜

Due to unforeseen circumstances we have available for hosting on 1st June from Horley and Redhill and 3rd June from Felbridge, all 4 night stays, so get in touch asap if you are interesting in trailing hosting before we close for summer

The students arrive on a Wednesday evening, and need collecting from Coulsdon South Station. The stay for 14 nights in groups of 2 students per host family.

The students need dropping to either East Surrey College, The Carrington School or Redhill Station at 8am in the morning and get collected from Redhill station at 7pm.

They are usually from France and have English lessons in the morning then have afternoons and weekends filled with activities and sightseeing around London. They have one family day with the host, on Sunday during the stay, where they get to spend time with you and learn more about you and your family.

Breakfasts are the same as short stays, as are the packed lunches and evening meals. The students are age 12-18 and are on the trip individually to study English, this is not a school trip it's a language stay and usually the students you'll be hosting wouldn't of met each other before the day they arrive.

The rate is ยฃ32pspn so it's ยฃ868 for the hosting paid directly into your account. Plus the emotional reward of being part of a young persons language journey.

We have an emergency..... can any hosts look after a group of 3 or 4 students from Redhill from Monday as we have had a host cancel due to health reasons.
