Bit of a random one from me but I just felt like sharing 😆 a tip I often give my students when needing to bring a join in when working on a wider band is to close it as much as possible once you’ve shaped it round (so part of the edges are touching) and run your blade through the join. This removes what is in the middle bringing the join closer together. Then if necessary tweak with pliers to make the edges touch again and repeat! Mine wasn’t perfectly round at the end of the first clip as I was trying to be quick to film so I adjusted and ran my blade through one more time and the bit at the end is the result ready to solder 🔥 this is often much quicker than filing especially for beginners, unless you hate saw piercing in which case carry on 🤣

My girl has been cat obsessed forever and her dream finally came true for her 8th birthday this week 🥹 I found this video recently of how sad she was that we couldn’t have a kitten 😭 we had moved to my dads house due to circumstances around where we were renting after my husband died and finally moved into our new home a few months ago after 4 years of sharing a room (and a bed!) I’m not sure she’ll come down from this cloud for a while 🥰

A bit late sharing this as I was feeling sad and exhausted at the weekend so didn’t get round to it. We went to Bude and kindly stayed with friends to have a few days by the sea but the weather wasn’t really on our side this year!

On Saturday 11 years ago I was walking back up the aisle freshly married. Hands down one of the best days of my life. We only got to celebrate 4 anniversaries together but it deserves to be acknowledged even if it’s just me. What a beautiful day 🥰

We didn’t have long enough but so grateful for the time we had. Til death do us part just isn’t true - Love you always and forever Mr Liddiard ✨

On Friday we had to say goodbye to Livvy’s Nanny 😢 Chris’s lovely mum and my mother in law Joana. She had been through so much and fought hard these past nearly 10 years against everything life threw at her but it still feels so sudden and unexpected. Ultimately her body decided now was her time 😔 She was cared for by her partner Graham the last 4 years since her health deteriorated and he barely left her side the past week or so she was in hospital which I’m sure brought her a lot of comfort.

Jo welcomed me into her family from the start nearly 20 years ago and I’m so grateful for her for part in shaping Chris into the incredible person he was. She was a loving mum and a doting Nanny and was so incredibly proud when Livvy was born and even in more recent times seeing Livvy still brightened her day.

Her love and caring nature will live on through anyone lucky enough to have known her but especially her Son Stephen and two grandchildren Livvy & Archie. I see Jo in Livvy sometimes and I know that will bring a lot of comfort as it has done with Chris. Sadly leaving one son behind but being reunited with another 😢😢 which I’m certain would have made her feel more at peace with having to leave.

We will miss you so much, rest peacefully and give Chris the biggest hug from us xx

Big news! HUGE!!

Last week we got the keys to our very own home 🥹 I actually don’t think it’s really sank in yet because it happened so fast. I don’t own it but I do have a secure tenancy which I feel is the next best thing. I’m not sure I’ll ever get to a point where I’ll own a property with how the world is now but I feel safe knowing this is ours as long as we need it to be 🥰 it’s going to take some getting used to paying for everything by myself again but it will definitely be worth it!

So grateful to my Dad and Michele for letting us live with them as long as they did but it’s been HARD having zero space and sharing a room and a bed with Livvy, well, her entire life really! She finally has her own room and we are both very excited about it ☺️

This balcony though!!! A bird watchers dream 🦢 we are about halfway through moving now it’s been a long and tough week but I’m getting there and seeing progress now! Will share some photos when we are more settled.

Please bear with me the next few weeks while we get sorted and I will catch up on work as soon as I can ☺️

Earlier my brother said Chris would be really proud of me for getting a new home and I think he’s right, he would love it here and I’ll do my best to make it into the home Livvy has deserved all along ✨
