Following years of comprehensive research, technical studies and community engagement, we’re proud to share the revised proposals for the Porthcawl Waterfront Regeneration💙

Shaped by local feedback, the updated plans set out a vibrant future for Porthcawl where homes, leisure, tourism and business thrive side-by-side.

The revised masterplan includes:
🏊‍ Leisure amenities including a lido swimming pool, gym, mini golf, skate park and hotel
🌳 More public open space and community facilities
🚶‍ Walking and cycling routes linking key seafront areas including a brand new promenade along Coney Beach and Sandy Bay
🏞️ An expanded Griffin Park with a green corridor connecting to a coastal park and the beach
🏘️ Reduced building heights and fewer homes
🏖️ Sandy Bay beach returned to public ownership for recreation and events
🎡 New funfair rides to create iconic seafront landmarks and celebrate Porthcawl’s heritage
