Metal Clay Diploma - how it started vs how it's going

I finished the second of term 3's Masterclasses last week, the Rose Garden project. Swipe to have a gander and zoom in on the roses and the bow, all hand sculpted, no moulds used. Ridiculous. I can't believe how far we've come since the first charm bracelet project.

Swipe again to see the VERY FIRST thing I made with clay, almost 14 years ago. That means they are nearly vintage 🤮 always with a space theme though, I am consistent.

Two more taught projects to do, my final project (thinking enamelling) and then done! Where has the year gone?

Nice things from May.

It’s been a lovely month. Quick. But that seems to be the theme of the year. A new term for clay with complicated projects. Lots of wild garlic. Gorgeous creations from jewellery classes. Little ducklings at the lake. New records to never be played. Magnums at the beach. Spring flowers, my fave. Open studios, lovely to see lots of new faces at the studio. Progress with clay projects, they are super fiddly. But fun. And even got one finished! Mothers birthday, all you can eat cake table? Perfect. Cat very happy with the sunny days.

MY WISTERIA ACTUALLY FLOWERED.

Serenaded by Lee, he did not get the Barbie reference. We watched the film a few days after. Unsure if he gets the reference yet. The rose bush also flowered big style and smelt amazing. Well done garden. Visited Burnby Hall twice in in day, for flowers then for brass band, very civilised. A delightful bank holiday with Lee, crossed off some more places on my Fossgate crawl. A gorgeous girly in the garden. A short lived time as a pidgeon mum, it died and I cried. Had lots of fun at pole.

Jewellery making ASMR

Volume up for some jewellery making sounds, my favourite is when hot metal hits cold water, such a satisfying sound!

New workshops - any requests?

I hinted that I am adding some new workshops to the current offering... mysterious! All will be revealed soon! But are there any that you are desperate to see? One I haven't run in a while? A class you keep missing the date? Something brand new that you've never seen me do?
