Day 7. Why shop Independent?

It's not easy for any business to stay a float these days when we're competing with the big conglomerates online, so for each and every person who steps foot in the shop even just to browse, I absolutely appreciate you making the effort and thank you so so much🥰

When you shop independent you get an experience you just don't find online😃You get a human every time, conversation if you like it, gift wrapping, smiles, locally made gifts and overall just a good old fashioned traditional shopping experience. I try to keep most of what I sell Scottish so its a knock on effect for more independent businesses 😃

I love doing what I do, having my loyal customers return or new customers discovering the shop for the first time is so rewarding because more often than not people are so pleased to shop with us and spread the word🥰
Please keep supporting your small independent businesses, it means more than you can imagine ❤️

One of the nicest things about running a small business is the customer interaction something you can't get online!
We love a chin wag but equally happy to let you browse in peace!😃
We have lovely chats with our customers🥰 Ranging from weather, directions, recommendations, current affairs, dogs, babies, music or what ever Jeremy Vine might be taking about on Radio 2🤣

We have some lovely neighbours/businesses down our end of the High Street.
Next door you can find Robert and Katie at Trend Transformations for beautiful luxury bathrooms and kitchens😍 On the other side you will also find the very talented Clare at Number Five jewellers. Arlene's fantastic shop, Boo Vake is just across from us too, not to mention all the amazing independent businesses on George Street. Its a lovely little quarter to be part of😃
