A different kind of dirty hands today ☺️

Not from silver and gold dust, polishing compound or filing… but from soil and seeds 🌱

I’ve been pottering in the greenhouse planting seeds, and it reminded me how much inspiration gardening gives me. It’s my other passion (just in case you didn’t know 🙊). There’s something so hopeful about sowing tiny seeds and imagining what they’ll become.

Even the shapes of the seeds make my brain tick over. Marigold seeds with their little quills, delicate cosmos seeds, plump cucumber seeds, tiny onion seeds, even grass seeds… they all have something about them. Different textures, shapes and patterns that spark ideas for future pieces.

It’s funny how creativity overlaps. One minute I’m filing silver, the next I’m brushing soil from my hands and thinking about organic forms, textures and nature’s tiny details.

What inspires you? 🌱💜

From molten silver to something completely unique 💜

I thought I’d show you a quick snippet of how this ring was made. I melt sterling silver and quench it in water to create these little alchemy pieces. The sudden cooling forms organic, unpredictable shapes, no two are ever the same, and this one created a cute little cup! You can see the finished piece if you scroll down in comments…

It’s one of my favourite processes… a bit like a lucky dip when I reach into the water with my tweezers to see what’s formed.

Each piece becomes a ring, pendant or earrings. They are tiny treasures shaped by fire and water. To see this piece, you can visit from the beginning of April. Or for other alchemy pieces, have a look at my website at https://purplephoenixjewellery.co.uk

I’m honestly so emotional writing this… I’m beyond excited (and a little nervous!) to share that I’ll be exhibiting my jewellery at from the beginning of April ✨

This means more to me than I can even put into words. To have the opportunity for people to see, try on, and buy my work in person feels so special, something I’ve dreamed about for such a long time.

You can find my pieces at Unit 2, Cobden Chambers, Pelham Street, Nottingham, NG1 2ED. Opening times are Tuesday to Saturday 11–4, and if you’re able to visit, it would truly mean the world to me 💜

I also just want to take a moment to say thank you… to everyone who has supported me so far, whether that’s by buying a piece, sharing my work, or simply encouraging me along the way. It hasn’t gone unnoticed, and I wouldn’t be here without you.

My jewellery will still be available to purchase online, but if a piece is at the gallery there may be a slight delay in posting, so I really appreciate your patience and understanding.

This is my first time exhibiting since my university days all those years ago, and stepping back into this space has felt quite daunting at times. But when I reflect on everything, the trials, the setbacks, the highs and lows of life, I realise how far I’ve come. And I know, deep down, that now is my time to shine.

Motherhood has been my greatest achievement. Everything I do is for my children. I want them to grow up proud, to see that even through tough times, you can keep going, keep believing, and build something meaningful. I want them to know they can rise, no matter what, and achieve their dreams.

That is the true meaning of Purple Phoenix 🐦‍🔥🔥💜

There’s something a little bit magical about the alchemy of molten silver 🧪

Each piece begins the same way, heated until it softens, melts, and becomes completely fluid… and then the real magic happens. Dropped into water (sometimes with beans added to create even more texture), the silver transforms instantly, creating organic, one of a kind forms that can never be repeated.

No two pieces are ever the same. Every pair of earrings, every ring, every pendant holds its own little story, shaped by movement, temperature, and pure chance.

I’ve been melting down shanks and offcuts, watching them evolve into the most incredible textures and forms. It’s unpredictable, a little bit wild, and honestly one of my favourite parts of the process.

It feels like a lucky dip every time… reaching into the water with my tweezers, not quite knowing what I’ll find 💜

And that’s the beauty of it! Perfectly organic, completely unique, and made by both hand and moment.

If you love handmade as much as I do, please take a moment to support me over on 💜

It’s such a brilliant platform that brings together stall holders, local markets, and independent makers all in one place, making it so easy to discover and support small creative businesses.

Every follow, share, and bit of support truly means the world to artisan makers like me. Behind every piece is time, care, and a whole lot of passion ✨

Thank you for supporting handmade… it really does make all the difference 💜

There is something rather special about jewellery that is made by hand. Every mark, texture and detail carries its own character and story 💜

At Purple Phoenix Jewellery, each piece is carefully handcrafted in my UK workshop using sterling silver and 9ct gold. My designs are inspired by nature, symbolism and a love of meaningful detail.

A few pieces from the collection…

🐦‍🔥Phoenix feather drop earrings, inspired by strength and renewal. Elegant and eye catching, they bring a subtle sense of movement and meaning to any outfit.

🐞Ladybird charms, small and full of charm, often seen as a symbol of luck. A lovely addition to a bracelet or necklace, especially for those who enjoy nature inspired pieces.

❤️Heart charms, a timeless and sentimental design. Each one is individually made, giving it a unique finish that makes it perfect as a personal keepsake or thoughtful gift.

⛓️Chains, from fine and delicate to something a little bolder. Each is made to complement the collection and pair beautifully with charms and pendants.

Everything is made slowly and with care, so no two pieces are ever quite the same. That is the beauty of handmade jewellery.

The tiniest watering cans I’ve made so far… and I think they might be my favourites yet. 💧🌱

Now I just can’t decide what they should become…

Slow and steady… 🐌💜

These little silver snail stud earrings are a gentle reminder that you don’t have to rush through life. Sometimes the best things happen when we slow down, take our time, and enjoy the journey.

Each pair is handmade in my UK workshop, carefully crafted in solid silver with lots of attention to the tiny details that bring these little snails to life. Perfect for gardeners, nature lovers, or anyone who appreciates something a little different.

A small, whimsical nod to the garden, and proof that slow and steady really can be beautiful.
