At this time of year I will always think of my wonderful friend Lubna of Lubna Din. These holly hocks came from seeds she shared and are a beautiful reminder of her bright gracefulness. I do miss her and I'm so glad to be reminded of her everytime the hollyhocks bloom.

Its a warm day in the studio to be thinking about autumn events.

Visit me and my friends when we open our jewellery school on the 6th June. See where we make, teach and create and where you could do it too.

Workshops access like this - full of tools, and equipment and possibility were one of the things that made me fall in love with being a maker. Spaces that feel full of potential and full of possibility are incredibly inspiring for me and even more so when they are shared with other talented creatives.

Entry is free and you can talk to fellow tutors and students, explore the workshop, see some jewellery making demos and find out about all our classes and workshops.

Its a truly wonderful place and I hope to see you there. X

Playing around with new ideas. And they are not jewellery.

Initially I thought i would enamel this experiment but I love the way the raw copper glows with the flame and I think I'd like to see how it develops a patina.

Definite potential. Maybe.
