The last few days have been very strange to navigate
We are incredibly lucky to have only walked away with a few relatively minor injuries considering the severity of the accident (whiplash, concussion and a fractured sternum) but it’s difficult not to think of all the ways it could have been so much worse. The mental impact is setting in a little now, cars over taking is now a point of anxiety that we didn’t have to deal with before, and driving past the junction it happened was a strange feeling. I hope this will pass soon, and I’m confident it will, it’s just part of processing it.
We are so lucky and grateful to not only be ok, but also have so many people offer their love and support over the weekend. It’s not always easy being self employed, and going back to work 10 hours after being involved in an accident definitely wasn’t ideal, but we now have a couple of days to rest and take time for ourselves which are needed.
We just want to thank the hundreds of people that reached out, sent love and gave us support over the weekend, both physically and emotionally. And to those who have offered help over the coming weeks as we navigate how to get to Download festival.
We are so grateful to have such a supportive group of friends and we will always be grateful for the love we have received.
