Making a wedding ring choice!
Some prefer simple, some prefer sparkly, some prefer something wih a pattern, there are more choices out there than you'd expect!
Our advice...
Any two metals will wear against each other, so for this reason it is best to pick a ring that is the same metal as your engagement ring so they wear evenly.
White gold can be popular, however it does require a little more maintenance. As gold is naturally yellow, to get white gold it is mixed with other white metals and then rhodium plated, which is what gives you the lovely bright white finish.
White gold does have to be rhodium plated every now and again as it will wear off. How long it takes to wear off, depends on the make up of the ring and an individuals skin type.
Rhodium plating is no problem to do and a service we provide here.
With yellow gold and platinum, you may want to get them polished every so often if you feel like a refresh on your rings, we can arrange for this to be done for you.
9ct is the hardest wearing as it has less gold content and is mixed with more metals, the higher the carat of gold the softer the ring is.
Although we are more traditional here, we do have a good selection of ladies and mens wedding rings.
We can get most of our rings made in most precious metals from our supplier.
We would recommend leaving at least 2 months before the wedding to get a ring, this allows time for sizing or getting a ring special ordered for you.
