A Spoonful of Silver - Vintage Spoon Jewellery

A Spoonful of Silver - Vintage Spoon Jewellery Handcrafted Vintage Spoon Jewellery At a glance a "spoon ring" looks like any other silver ring, but it's really a piece of history and a 'green' craft product.

The origin of the "spoon ring" is thought to date back to the 17th Century in Britain when servants, who couldn't afford expensive wedding rings, would sometimes steal silver cutlery from their masters and craft them into rings. Sailors in the navy were also known to have smuggled silverware from the ship's galley and shape them into rings for their girlfriends. Some were caught and punished with

7 years in a penal colony. We create Bracelets, Rings and Earrings, recycled from antique silver cutlery into a beautiful piece of vintage jewellery with the original date and name that the cutlery was made, some dating back to the 1800s. We can also make custom orders from cutlery that has been passed down through your own family, and instead of keeping it hidden away in a drawer, transform it into something you can wear.
