David Dudley

David is an award-winning jeweller and jewellery designer based in the historic market town of Marlborough in the heart of Wiltshire.

In the beginning.

David was born in 1944 in Southampton. At the age of 2 he travelled with his parents by flying boat, a 5 day journey, to Durban where his father opened the terminal for BOAC (now BA). During his childhood David lived in Aden, Cairo, Kartoum and Dar es Salam but spent most of his formative years in Nairobi, finally settling in Rhodesia; now Zimbabwe. "It was all a wonderful adventure!"

David returned to England in 1963 where he went into banking and also started his singing career. His passion for singing took him to leads in many musical shows at the Theatre Royal, Plymouth, Truro and the Minack Theatre as well as the Duchy Opera.In 1974 David left merchant banking to follow a career in jewellery in Looe, Cornwall. After working for Michael Spiers David opened his own shop in Truro in 1989 and later relocated the business to Marlborough. In 2019 David celebrates 30 years in the jewellery business. Since then, the business has continued to grow and prosper, largely because of David's passion for jewellery and natural talent in customer service.
