This glorious nugget was just begging to be turned from 'back of the drawer' treasure to 'out of this world' gorgeousness 😍😍😍

Finished pieces don't simply appear fully-formed from a single inspiration 💡

They come from many hours of trial and error, obsession over the smallest detail and scale - and even after all that intricate head scratching, they may still end up on a literal scrap heap!

Just something worth bearing in mind when purchasing your future heirloom from an independent jewellery designer.

Don't get me wrong - we jewellers ❤️ it!

Our slightly obsessive magpie-like brain wiring means this kind of 3 dimensional sketch booking is often our happy place 🌈

I personally have a plentiful store of these un-realised treasures.

But, like every creative journey, the effortless beauty finally revealed in that glittering display case is usually just the tip of a box full of fiddely little icebergs...

We are here! We are experiencing the return of the light that is the Vernal equinox 🌓

Day and night are of equal length in nearly all parts of the world 🌞🌚

Earth's tilt is at zero relative to the sun, meaning she is neither tilting toward nor away from the light - she is in balance ⚖️

Spring is here 🌱

As a bespoke jeweller, I usually work on a made to order basis - however, this year, I have created a few pieces Christmas treat ready!

It’s utterly fab to have a feature in the Winter edition celebratory pages of the which highlights all things warming and welcoming around our popping seaside town. It’s a great opportunity to take a moment to say hi and introduce you to my cozy Margate studio.
