Today we're sadly saying goodbye to our gorgeous Bernard. 

She was dumped in a box as a kitten, we never had plans to have a cat, but the universe had other ideas and what a wonderful addition to our family unit she has been. 

Such a gentle, patient loving soul. I never thought I would miss hoovering up heroic amounts of cat hair, and I've been taken a bit off guard about how hard I've found navigating her last few months as she has been so poorly. It's been very very sad but I feel so lucky and grateful that chance brought her to us together in the first place. ❤️

I can't tell you how well timed this order dropping into my Etsy was last week. I was feeling a bit flat and negative and couldn't seem to shake it off. Then this order came in, in bright bubblegum pink with silver earwires and It was the sign I needed to shake it off. So thank you to that lovely customer for sending that through with impeccable timing.

I need your help here - my colour blindness is kicking in.

This gives you a little insight into the tiny nuances that change in the development process. A bit more detail here, removal of some detail I only notice after cutting, rethinking how things fit together and.... colour.

I know that I want the sunflower in the bright yellow mirror - but I can't seem to decide which green would go best with it. Can you have a look at the pics and let me know what you think? The other option is to keep it simple and just work with the graphic sunflower and no contrasting acrylics. Decisions Decisions!

The are back this weekend for The Mass Trespass anniversary outside Hayfield village hall. Folk music, the big wild swim, Djs, talks and more - it's always such a great weekend.

I'll have a stand on the bar for all those having a beer after exercising their right to roam, and have made a few pairs of fitting designs for those that never take for granted what the Mass Trespass did for our rights to explore the countryside.

I’ve been dying to share this with you - but it’s been so hard to choose from all the amazing photos!

At Christmas I spent the day in the studio with Albie, who designed and made a pig necklace for his grandma from scratch — from first sketch to finished piece.

He learned how the laser works, how drawings become physical objects, how different materials behave, how to test and refine a design, how to assemble jewellery, and how to present it properly as a gift. He chose the colours, made the decisions, solved the problems, and walked out with something he was genuinely proud of.

These design, cut and create days can be built and adapted around children who learn best by doing — especially home-educated kids who thrive with hands-on, real-world projects.

It’s a calm, supportive space, with time for movement / stimming, questions, thinking things through, and getting properly absorbed in the process.

If you’ve got a child who’d love to spend a day designing, cutting and making something, resulting in not only a physical piece to take home, but a learning journey document for your records, drop me a message.

Sessions can be arranged for Mondays, Wednesdays or Fridays and my diary for June onwards is open.

Lusia and her friends are booked into have their very own Kid's jewellery jam for her birthday. She came in to see me, to talk about what shapes we absolutely essential for the session, and we agreed that she should design her very own cat charm too.

I was sent this super cute drawing by her mum along with how she would love it to be a necklace and studs, all in light blue.

It was a great, clear brief and as you can see, it's turned out splendid! I can't wait to see what Lusia and her friends create with these and all the other charms available!

I've lovingly made another run of these slender lightning bolts. They require a fair bit of delicate hand finishing to make them perfect so I only restock in limited numbers. Loaded and ready on the website for you now. ❤️

Remember the sunflower drawing I shared a few weeks ago? This is the start of the test and refine journey on how I'm going to turn it into something wearable.
I've used some scrap mirror to try different engraving and scoring methods, and see if I like the solid black centre and refine the settings to ensure it captures all the detail. I've got a few ideas of what these will eventually be, but for now I'm going to keep playing with the design.

This afternoon has largely been spent making this little guy and giving him a bit of a makeover. It's been a few years since I did a run of frogs, so thought this time he could have his own little bespoke lily pad backing card to sit on.
He's on the website too, so if you need some or this cuteness, he's ready to go!
