Does anyone want some trees?

Trees for Free

Hi folks,
Its looking like we’ll have 100 or so trees to give away in time for the planting season in the next month or two. We’ve only been growing since March, so I’m happy with that (was hoping for 50).
If anyone would like some trees for a small planting project(s) please get in touch. They are mostly well above 50cm in height. Some of them (grey willow) are approaching 2m. The approximate numbers we’ll have are as follows:

Wych Elm – 25
Goat Willow – 25
Dogwood - 15
Sycamore – 10
Ash – 10
Oak – 5
Grey Willow – 5
Hazel - 5
Silver Birch – 3
Horse Chestnut – 3
Juniper – 2
Holly – 2
Elder – 2
Rowan – 2
Downy Birch – 1
Norway Maple – 1
Yew – 1
Hawthorn - 1

We’ve got quite a few that are not quite big enough yet. They’ll be ready for next season (maybe 1000 +) so watch this space 😊

Save the trees!

Our friends at Macclesfield Community Tree Nursery have a page we want to share.

Paul and volunteers are doing some great work around saving saplings of all varieties and we think they deserve some recognition.

We have given them a bed at OPM Urban Garden and can't wait to see how it develops over the time.

SNEAK PEAK 👀

The Team have been working so hard over the last week to get our indoor market stand ready to open very soon.

Everything you see has either been salvaged, donated, recycled or bought with your donations.

We are so proud with this little Recycle, Reuse, Reduce plot and really hope you come and swap, buy, recycle and more from us to keep our community green projects going.

Just taken some cuttings from my Sedum Autumn Joy plant off my back garden,

Not only do they look great in an old milk bottle but there root so easy meaning next year I'll have lots to replant or give away part of the Macc Plant Swap.
