This time next week I’ll be at the UKAPP conference! Three days of learning, networking and selecting new jewellery!

I am very excited and feel like this is just what I need to improve my processes, piercings, product selection and people-skills!

Some of my favourite portfolio pieces and projects from over the years to give you some ear-nspiration 👂

Ear curations don’t happen overnight and rarely over one appointment. Sometimes it starts with a plan and a commitment to it, sometimes we freestyle – it varies from client to client.

A great project works with your anatomy and uses jewellery to complement that. Sometimes jewellery is chosen first, something catches your eye and the perfect placement is found for it (if it can be, we are all different and some pieces just won’t work for some people). Other times it feels like the anatomy screams for what it needs.

Sometimes you don’t need a stacked set-up to make a statement though. Sometimes the jewellery says it all.

Big and bold, delicate and dainty, or a combination of the two, we can find the perfect piece for your anatomy and aesthetic.

I’ve been a bit quiet with posting lately…

Partly because I’ve been busy doing a few things behinds the scenes like:
• Tinkering with the website and adding more information for those looking to get pierced
• Bulk editing jewellery photos (a job that comes with every new stock order)
• Optimising the online store pages to make it easier for people to find what they’re looking for
• Trying to tickle Google’s chin so people can find me more easily
• Gearing up for the UKAPP conference by studying piercing techniques (among other things) so I can improve and optimise my set up
• Working on a content strategy so I can be more consistent and grow (hopefully one I can sustain)

And partly because it’s wedding season and there’s a lot going on and at the end of the day sometimes I just want to play Xbox 😂

It would be too simple if being a body piercer was as simple as just piercing bodies and all that comes with that, right? There are all these other tasks that’s branch off from that and they all still need to be done.

One person, one business, one thing, but many branches. Spread in all directions. Much like this Aspen end from Junipurr Jewelry 🌱

Name a better duo 👀

Wedding season is upon us and with that comes a few weekend closures on the 15th and the 21-22nd and 29th.

That means this Saturday 8th is the last Saturday availability in August 😩

During this time I will stretch some of the weekday hours to accommodate not being in on the next few Saturdays so hopefully if you can’t get in during the week daytime you can get in in an evening!

I can only aspire to be as chill as this lady who braved the heat the other week in pursuit of a spontaneous nostril piercing! 😂

Some people are just built different and I’m 100% here to celebrate that 💯

I’m back in the studio tomorrow for bookings and walk-ins from 12-4 and available for appointments the rest of the week 🖤

Just a heads up that I’m out of the studio next week so make sure you get booked in this week for all your piercing, jewellery and downsizing needs! 🖤

I won’t have much time to go through messages, but I will be checking them periodically as and when I can!

I also won’t be dispatching any online orders until I’m back so if you order while I’m away there will be a bit of an extra wait! There’s still 20% off jewellery though so hopefully that makes waiting a little easier! 😉

Walk-in Wednesdays from 12-4 🚶

Summer is approaching and with it comes a higher demand for piercings. Starting tomorrow I will be taking walk-ins on Wednesdays from 12-4pm

I’ve always been bookings only. It works really well from my AuDHD brain. It allows me to plan and gives me time to keep on top of non-piercing aspects of business and the rest of my life.

I usually take walk-ins when I can, but if I don’t have a booking I’m not in the studio to take them. This will change that. From tomorrow I will be in the studio from 12-4 on Wednesdays ready for any walk-ins!

I will still be taking bookings and they will take priority, but walk-ins will be welcome to wait.

There will be some exclusions to this because even piercers go on holiday (and get ill), but I will be sure to let you know here and on the shop Google business page if there’s a Wednesday I’m not in!
