Among the masterpieces at the Cartier exhibition was this beautiful tiara made of Persian turquoise carved in the iconic paisley motif. Did you know that Paisley, or in Farsi بته جقه “Boteh Jeghe” is Persian, and a deeply rooted in our heritage? It originally represented the cypress tree, a Zoroastrian emblem of life and resilience. This motif has traveled from ancient Iran through centuries of art, textile and jewellery around the world.

Among the masterpieces at the Cartier exhibition was this beautiful tiara made of Persian turquoise carved in the iconic paisley motif. Did you know paisley, or boteh jegheh is a symbol deeply rooted in Persian heritage? It originally represented the cypress tree, a Zoroastrian emblem of life and resilience. This motif has traveled from ancient Iran through centuries of art, textile and jewellery around the world.
