For me. the brief is only the surface.

A reference image can tell me what you like. What shapes the design is everything I learn about you beyond that.

How you live. What you notice. What you are drawn to without quite knowing why. What matters enough that you want to carry it with you.

Then, we start. The gemstone. The proportions. Whether the piece should feel structured or fluid. How it sits on the body. Which details should be obvious, and which should almost disappear.

My role as a jewellery designer is to read all of that, work out what deserves to become part of the design, and bring it together with the level of craft your heirloom deserves.

Whether I’m creating a bespoke engagement ring or a one-off fine jewellery piece, I’m looking for the part that makes it specifically yours.

And when we get it right, it should feel strangely familiar.
Like it could only ever have belonged to you.

A little sparkle, with a twist on a classic.

This is Twinkle from my The Current collection, my take on the classic halo engagement ring.

I love how the round centre diamond is surrounded by a circle of diamonds, adding that extra sparkle while keeping the design timeless.

This Kimjoux Eclipse ring is going to auction for a cause that feels very personal to me.

Eclipse was one of the earliest collections I created for Kimjoux. It was inspired by the lunar eclipse and by how, throughout history, the moon has been surrounded by mystery, beliefs and sometimes fear.

At the heart of the collection was a thought that has stayed with me: understanding something can completely change the way we see it.

That is why Eclipse felt particularly meaningful for this auction, raising funds for Anna Freud, a charity dedicated to supporting children and young people’s mental health.

As a mother, and because of experiences in my own childhood, I know how much it can matter for a young person to feel understood and to have the right support at the right time.

I also chose a ring deliberately. I’ve always found rings particularly personal. A necklace or earrings are often seen first by everyone else. A ring stays within your own view. You notice it. You live with it.

Soon, this one will belong to someone new. And I love that its next chapter will begin by helping another young person receive the understanding and support they deserve.

What started as an idea turned into something I got to see recognized, celebrated, and shared with so many talented people in the creative industry.

And then came the awards night. A room full of incredible work, inspiring people, and a moment I’ll definitely remember.

A love story, turned into a bespoke engagement ring.

The design started with their story by the Amsterdam canals, then became part of a very important question.

His reaction: “It looks amazing.”

Want to surprise her with an engagement ring but have absolutely no idea what her ring size is?

Time to get a little creative.

Option 1: Borrow a ring she already wears and measure that.
Option 2: Ask a friend or family member to do some very subtle detective work.

Once you’ve got the size, the harder part is keeping the whole thing a secret.

A closer look at The Current Sclulpted Ring.

The diamond sits slightly off-centre, so the setting feels a little more fluid - almost like the diamond is moving rather than sitting still.

It’s my take on a solitaire engagement ring, with just enough of a twist to make it feel less predictable.

If you’re choosing a bespoke engagement ring, look at the diamond grading report before falling for the stone.

For me, cut comes first. Then I look at the measurements, clarity plot and inscription.

The 4Cs are important, but the details on the report can tell you so much more.
