O'Donoghue Ltd – commonly known as T.O’D - was founded by Tom O'Donoghue who was first apprenticed in 1935 before becoming an award winning master craftsman. The business grew steadily on the back of its fine craftsmanship and the quality of its gem set jewellery, selling goods around the UK, Europe, America and then the Far East. In 1974 Tom’s son and current Managing Director John O'Donoghue joined the firm after training in Germany, France and New York. The company has since this time dealt extensively in fine Antique Jewellery and Rare Gemstones from around the world and successfully combines this with our skills in manufacturing. Tom worked full time up until the age of 86 when he finally retired after working in the trade and having shared his expertise for 72 years. Tom maintained a keen interest in the business until he sadly passed away in the New Year of 2010. Luke O'Donoghue joined the company in 2003 and now runs the company with his father John. With our wealth of experience and huge range of stocks, T.O'Donoghue Ltd is now in a position to supply the needs of fine jewellers whether they require simple new jewellery or an important antique or second hand item.
