From Cristiano and Georgina’s understated gold wedding bands to Drake’s one-of-one Ice Gradient Rolex, this week proved that exceptional jewellery can mean complete simplicity or absolutely no restraint.

Kylie put up to 15 carats on her pinky, while Alessandra Ambrosio chose an elongated cushion diamond in a modern yellow-gold bezel setting.

Which piece wins this week?

At Amada, we take inspiration from the world’s most iconic jewellery and create something entirely your own, tailored to your diamond, style and budget. Send us the piece you love to begin designing yours.

Not your everyday diamond lineup.

A yellow diamond drop necklace. Barely-there diamond chains. And a tennis necklace with stones that absolutely refuse to be subtle.

Some pieces accessorise the look. These are the look.

Forget the “3 months’ salary” rule.

An engagement ring shouldn’t be about hitting an arbitrary number. It should be about finding the diamond you actually love, at a price that makes sense for you.

Maybe that means prioritising carat size. Maybe it’s an incredible cut, higher colour and clarity, or a particular shape you’ve always wanted.

At Amada, we start with what matters to you, then find the best diamond for your budget. No outdated spending rules.

What matters most to you: size, cut, colour or clarity?

If you’re buying a lab-grown diamond, don’t compromise too much on the specs.

Our preference: F colour or better, VS1 clarity or better.

A G/VS2 diamond can still look beautiful, but with lab-grown, the jump to higher specs often doesn’t cost much more. So you may as well be selective.

Focus on F+ colour, VS1+ clarity, then get the best cut and carat size for your budget.

Would you prioritise size or quality?

DM Amada if you want help comparing stones.

A diamond shape born from a love story… or a royal obsession.

Legend has it that in 18th-century France, King Louis XV commissioned his jeweller to create a diamond shape inspired by the lips of his mistress, Madame de Pompadour, who became the Marquise de Pompadour. The elongated, pointed shape eventually became known as the marquise cut.

Nearly 300 years later, it’s still one of the most distinctive diamond shapes you can wear.

Elegant, dramatic and designed to look beautifully elongated on the finger, the marquise has gone from the French royal court to one of our favourite modern engagement ring cuts.

Would you choose a marquise for your engagement ring? Yes or no? Tell us below.

Save this for your ring inspiration, send it to someone who needs the hint, or DM us “MARQUISE” to find your perfect stone.

Two questions.

What’s the right engagement ring budget?

And would you rather choose your own ring… or let your partner surprise you? 💍

We took both questions to the streets, and the answers weren’t what we expected.

Some people would happily spend £1,000.
Others wouldn’t even consider proposing for under £10,000.

As for the ring…
Some would never trust their partner.
Others said the surprise is what makes it special.

So now it’s your turn.

How much should someone spend on an engagement ring?
And are you choosing it yourself or leaving it to your partner?

Tell us in the comments. 👇

Thinking about proposing? DM us “RING” and we’ll help you find the perfect ring for your budget, whether it’s £1,000 or £10,000+.
