Every gem has a story, and the story of each South Sea pearl begins up to 4 years earlier in the silver lipped oyster (or the Pinctada Maxima), the largest of all sea oysters – cultivated slowly in the pristine waters of Australia, Indonesia, and the Philippines to develop the exceptional lustre, thick nacre, and remarkable satin glow for which South Sea pearls are renowned. Their rarity is further defined by the low annual yield of perfectly round, high-quality pearls, making fine matched strands exceptionally difficult to assemble.
At Aminoff London, we continue to specialise in sourcing some of the world’s finest cultured pearls and rare gemstones, including natural pearls, exceptional diamonds, coloured gemstones, and highly sought-after natural Conch pearls for bespoke and private jewellery commissions. Through longstanding global relationships and decades of expertise, we are able to source unusual and hard-to-find materials quickly, discreetly, and to exact client specifications.
