New stones just arrived — and I cannot wait to make something with them.

Salt and pepper diamonds in pear and oval cuts. Each one completely unique, with their own inclusions, their own character, their own story waiting to be told.

Ella Ring — some things are worth remaking.

My father gave my mother two rings like this — one with an emerald, one with a sapphire, both oval stones set the same way. I’ve always wanted to make my own version.

So I designed the Ella Ring: a 0.23ct oval diamond in an unusual semi-flush setting with open sides, set in solid recycled 18ct yellow gold with a chunky square-edge band.

The world is automating everything. AI is writing, designing, creating. And I think that’s fascinating.

But it’s made me think about what jewellery actually is — and why it might be one of the last truly human things left.

Yes, we use technology. 3D design helps us visualise a piece before it exists. Printing helps us test a form before we commit to gold. These are tools, and they’re good ones.

But here’s what no machine does: the setting, the polishing, the finishing. The hundred small decisions made by hand in the final hours that change everything.

And more than the making — there’s the meaning.

A piece from a big brand sits in a window waiting for anyone. Designed for everyone. Which means designed for no one.

Everything I make is different. My bespoke pieces exist for one person only. And even my collection pieces — most styles have only ever been made 1, 2, maybe 3 times. Ever. In the world.

That’s not a product. That’s closer to an edition.

In a world of infinite copies — I think that matters more than ever.
