The first ruby wasn’t this one.
Neither was the second.
The stone we kept coming back to had a deeper red.
A little darker.
A little quieter.
The kind of ruby that doesn’t reveal itself all at once.
Once that decision was made, everything else became simpler.
The diamonds weren’t added to make the ring louder.
They were placed there to make the ruby feel even more like itself.
Stone first.
Design second.
That’s usually how it happens at Zohra.
Because the best pieces don’t begin with a sketch.
They begin with finding something worth building around.
