I sourced a selection of Colombian emeralds for my client to choose from. This vivid 0.92 carat emerald-cut emerald was the one.

The colour palette of rich green and warm brown was inspired by an oak tree: strong roots, branches reaching skyward, offering shelter and a place to call home.

Set in 18ct Fairmined gold, ten chocolate diamonds are scattered along the softly textured band, their earthy warmth bringing the whole palette together.

This is Madu, made by hand in my London studio and created for one very particular love story.

Two small decisions. Two rings that could only be theirs.

Three Wilmas. Three chapters. One hand.

A rose-cut salt and pepper diamond for the question. One for the years that followed. One for the woman she is still becoming.

There is something I love about a stack of the same ring across a lifetime. The Wilma is part of a lineage of rings I have been making for years, and she lends herself beautifully to this kind of layering. Hand-stamped frame, softly hammered band, a diamond rich with inclusions. No two ever the same.

Handcrafted slowly in 18ct Fairmined gold in my London studio. Blessings and mantras woven into the gold as I work. A Little Gold Prayer, then another, then another.
