Always ready. A motto worth making room for 🌿

This bespoke seal engraving was designed to make use of the whole ring. The crest and motto take centre stage, while a hand and fern design - a nod to the owner's New Zealand heritage - travels onto the shoulders, allowing the story to continue beyond the face.

That’s the beauty of bespoke: more complex ideas, unusual details, and a little more freedom for our artists to explore where an engraving can take you.

One stone, many stories 💙

From a traditional coat of arms to a single initial, a rabbit or a duck with her duckling, sardonyx lends itself to designs both symbolic and deeply personal.

And the stone itself can be just as individual. Petrol blue may be its most familiar guise, but sardonyx ranges through softer blues to much rarer shades of red - each revealing its own contrast as the engraver cuts through the layers.

A small note for those thinking further ahead: we’ll be welcoming Christmas commissions for stone-set pieces until the end of September.

Take your cue from this pair.

She preferred the slimmer, lighter design of our Oxford Court, with its pared-back scalloped shoulders and more delicate proportions. He wanted the fuller proportions and larger face of the Oxford 55.

What brings them together is 9ct yellow gold, the same tree crest, and their own initials, all seal engraved by hand.

How do you capture a much-loved dog in an engraving? 🐾

Perhaps surprisingly, a portrait isn’t always our engravers’ first recommendation. At the scale we work, the character and likeness that make your dog unmistakably yours can be difficult to translate faithfully into an engraving.

Instead, we help you find those detail that capture them best: the elegant profile of a greyhound, a simple paw print, the characteristics of a favourite breed, or even a dachshund reimagined as a supporter on a family crest.

For International Dog Day, we’re looking back at some of our favourite canine commissions and sharing our engravers’ advice on how to celebrate your own four-legged companion 🐕

Together or apart - how would you wear yours? 💭

Designed as a companion to the signet ring, our Keeper Ring adds presence and security when worn as a pair, or becomes a showstopper in its own right when worn alone.

To stack or to keep them separate, that is the question.

We apologise for talking about Christmas in August… 🎁

…but we don’t apologise for taking our time.

Our stone-set pieces are made and engraved by hand, one by one. From choosing the stone to translating a monogram, coat of arms or personal symbol into miniature, each is given the time it needs to tell your story beautifully.

The result is a gift that could be worn for a lifetime, and passed on long after.

That time and craftsmanship is part of the process, and we’ll be welcoming Christmas commissions for engraved stone-set pieces until the end of September.

As the last of this summer’s weddings approach, we’re turning our attention to the smaller details that can carry just as much meaning 🔔

Initials for the groom, a family crest for the father of the bride, or a symbol shared between stags. Hand-engraved cufflinks can hold a little piece of your wedding story, and be worn long after the day itself.
