Is it just me, or is the news cycle getting louder?

As a designer, I need context, not just headlines. Otherwise it’s a lot of friction for a creative mind. I’ve found that cutting out the “endless scroll” and replacing it with gives me the headspace to actually create. My latest work in brass was inspired by their deep dive into the UK’s water infrastructure reported in the recent edition.

Less noise. More clarity. More time to think.

Over the years I’ve found that pre-melting solder into small balls (paillons) burns off oxides and helps it flow more smoothly. It’s also the easiest way for me to gauge how much I need. Having said that, the exact amount you need is somehow always a mystery and I still don’t get it right sometimes 🤷‍♂️
