Through exploration and experimentation of shape and form, Alma Sophia creates pieces that are inviting to touch, handle and wear. Using square tube to develop the forms, Alma allows the pieces to have volume and convey a sculptural feel whilst remaining lightweight and comfortable to wear.

Did you know that the May birthstone is an Emerald? Makes sense that the lushes green stone is a symbol for May the last month of spring! 💚

A recent wedding ring set I made for Helen & Peter, who are getting married in May. They chose a Double Round Latitude Wedding Band and a 3.5mm Comfort Fit Band, both in 9ct yellow gold. Helen also had an old ring from her dad, which I melted down and incorporated into their new wedding rings — such a lovely way to pass on pre-loved jewellery.

Most of the wedding rings i design are made in 18ct yellow gold, but they can also be crafted in 14ct, 9ct, white gold, or platinum.

Highlight was getting to see the last night a festival celebrating start of spring in Nikko, and cycling around the lake with a view of Mt Fuji 😍

Have you been watching Love Story: JFK Jr. and Carolyn Bessette?

When I saw the episode with the proposal, Carolyn’s ring reminded me of one of my recent bespoke eternity designs — alternating blue sapphires and diamonds.
I love that she chose an eternity band as her engagement ring instead of the classic solitaire that was so popular then. It feels timeless, understated, and effortlessly elegant — a piece you can wear every day. 💍✨
