💃 Getting dressed for the COUTURE pool party.

A dress, Silvia Furmanovich marquetry butterfly earrings set with gold and diamonds, rings collected over the years, and a crown that felt entirely appropriate for Las Vegas.

Because at COUTURE, even a pool party is a fashion moment. 👑✨

Another year at COUTURE and I leave feeling inspired, grateful, and excited for what’s ahead.

For five days, Las Vegas becomes the center of the fine jewelry world. It’s where designers unveil their newest collections, retailers search for their next discoveries, and the industry’s most creative minds come together to celebrate craftsmanship, innovation, and community.

Beyond the extraordinary jewels, what keeps me coming back is the people. The conversations, the friendships, the reunions, the new connections, and the shared passion that makes this industry so special.

A heartfelt thank you to every designer, brand, retailer, PR team, and fellow jewelry lover who shared their time, stories, and creations with me this week. It is a privilege to be part of this incredible community and to witness the creativity and talent that make COUTURE so special year after year.

Wishing everyone a safe journey home, successful appointments turned into great business, and a little time to recover before we do it all again next year.

Until COUTURE 2027 ✨💎

At Couture, Busatti 1947 presents a new language of high jewellery—where rarity is not enough, and ex*****on becomes the true luxury.

Elongated emeralds with unexpected clarity, diamonds pushed into extreme proportions, and opal reinterpreted through quartz and structure—each piece built to reveal more than what the eye first perceives. This is a world of controlled contrast, architectural precision, and quiet intensity.

Nothing here is standard. Every stone is chosen, re-cut, or re-framed to shift perception: lighter, longer, deeper, bolder.

Trying on one of the most unexpected creations I discovered at Couture Las Vegas

Created by Peruffo Jewelry for the 2026 Couture Design Awards, the CHAINS MASK reinterprets the traditional Venetian Colombina mask through the brand’s signature language of chain.

What fascinated me wasn’t just the craftsmanship, but the experience of wearing it. The moment it is placed on the face, it transforms from an object into something much more personal. Light moves across hundreds of interconnected links, the structure shifts with every movement, and suddenly the wearer becomes part of the piece itself.

Inspired by the heritage of the Venetian carnival, the mask sits somewhere between jewellery, sculpture and performance. Every element is constructed using the same chain developed for Peruffo’s CHAINS collection, demonstrating how a familiar component can be reimagined into an entirely new form.

In an industry where wearability is often the ultimate measure of success, I love encountering pieces that invite us to think differently. Creations that challenge expectations, spark conversation and remind us that jewellery can be as much about imagination as adornment.

One of those Couture moments that stops you in your tracks.

The power of jewelry ✨

A simple white shirt, and then… Busatti 1947

From laser-drilled brilliant-cut diamond necklaces to extraordinary one-of-a-kind creations featuring Colombian emeralds, royal blue sapphires, tanzanites, milky quartz, mother-of-pearl inlay and sculptural titanium details, each piece transforms not just the look, but the entire presence.

Filmed in Las Vegas during Couture, with a little desert wind making a guest appearance.

Watch until the end to see the full transformation.

One of my favourite corners of Couture is Design Atelier — a space dedicated to independent fine jewellery designers, new ideas, and fresh creative perspectives within the industry. It’s where you slow down, discover, and inevitably leave with a growing wishlist. ✨

A few names and pieces that caught my eye this year:

JV Insardi — sculptural, architectural forms with beautifully balanced proportions.By Pariah — modern London fine jewellery with recycled gold, untreated gemstones, and an effortless sense of quiet luxury.Alice Herald — thoughtful art jewels rooted in storytelling and sustainable craftsmanship.Ashna Mehta — blurring the line between jewellery, fashion, and objects with her Bag Bijoux creations.Rosario Navia — modern sculptural silhouettes and stackable rings designed to layer, mix, and collect over time.

One of the things I love most about Design Atelier is seeing how differently each designer approaches fine jewellery — from materials and craftsmanship to storytelling and wearability. A reminder of how wide and creative this world really is.

Which discovery would you like to see more of? ✨

The power of Francesca Villa jewellery — miniature worlds suspended between memory, humour, and imagination. My personal selection of favourites, transformed into a look somewhere between collector and storyteller.

Now officially Vegas-bound for jewellery trade show — packed, ready, and on my way to discover some of the most extraordinary designer jewellery in the world. See you there ✨

A rare kind of morning that stays with you.

A private experience with Melanie Georgacopoulos, beginning inside Katharina Grosse’s world at White Cube — where colour doesn’t sit on the surface, it floods space. You don’t just look at it, you move through it.

What I love is how both worlds quietly undo expectations of material.

Grosse dissolves boundaries between painting, architecture, and body — and Melanie does something similar with pearls, pulling them out of tradition and into something sculptural, instinctive, and alive.

Different mediums, same instinct: to shift how we see.

Some mornings stay with you long after they’re over.

Natural or lab-grown? 💍

One tray. One scan. One very uncomfortable truth for some people.

The DiaTrue Jumbo 2 machine reveals everything in seconds — turquoise means natural diamond. Luckily for me, my engagement ring passed the test ✨

In a world flooded with synthetic stones, provenance matters more than ever.
