Tanzanite 💙 Blue-violet perfection.
A relatively new gemstone, it was discovered in the hills of Tanzania near the Mount Kilimanjaro in 1967. Initially mistaken for sapphire because of its striking bluish hue. It’s 1000 times rarer than diamonds, due to its limited geographic range. It is expected that the current resources could be depleted in a few decades.
