Omega Genève Megaquartz

Omega’s first in-house quartz movement, and it looks the part. The 39mm cushion case sits on its original tapering Omega bracelet, with a grey sunburst dial, luminous hands and a day-date window at three. Inside is the calibre 1310, running at 32 kHz, serviced by Omega in June 2023 and fitted with a fresh battery before listing. Box and Omega service papers included.

Gold at the end. A 1975 Datejust 1600, 36mm, champagne dial with gold batons, gold fluted bezel, bi-metal Jubilee bracelet. This one turns up to the trophy presentation dressed for it.

Blue dial for the big one. A 1989 Oyster Perpetual Date 15200, 34mm, blue dial with silver batons, automatic, on the steel Oyster bracelet. Modest on paper but considerable on the wrist.

The Premier League starts soon… Every season starts with a first touch and this is ours. A 1960s Precision 6694. Thirty-four millimetres of stainless steel, manual wind, date at three. The watch that taught a generation what a Rolex feels like on the wrist, and still the most honest way into the brand.
