Here are a few things people often ask me:

♻️ Where does the plastic come from?
Local donations, businesses, workshops, litter picks & my own household waste.
🔥 How do you melt plastic safely?
Carefully, with controlled heat, ventilation and lots of testing.
⏳ How long does one piece take?
Hours — sometimes many! — from sorting to final finish.
🧠 Can I learn this?
Yes — through my workshops!

My first designs vs now — growth I never expected.

Looking back at my early pieces always makes me smile.
So much trial. So many mistakes. So much learning.
Style evolves. Confidence grows. Skills sharpen.
And slowly, your voice becomes clearer.
If you’re at the beginning of your creative journey — keep going. You’re learning more than you realise. 💗

Have you noticed how your creative style has changed over time?

Tiny details that make every piece one of a kind…

From layered textures to unexpected colour blends, the smallest details often end up being my favourites.
These little moments — where plastic melts, folds, overlaps and surprises me — are what make each design completely unique.
No repeats. No copies. Just playful imperfections and happy accidents. 💗♻️

Do you prefer bold patterns or subtle blends?

Posting again after a year away feels scary… but here we are 💛

Balancing full-time work, creative business life, workshops and everything in between hasn’t always been easy — and social media is often the first thing to fall away.
But showing up again feels like a small win.
Progress isn’t always loud — sometimes it’s just gently beginning again.
If you’ve ever taken a break, struggled to restart, or felt overwhelmed — you’re not alone. We’re doing our best, and that’s enough. 💗

If you’re rebuilding something right now, I’m cheering you on 💁🏼‍♀️

I recently had these new studio photos done by as part of a report are soon to be releasing about our affordable housing guardianship scheme and im super excited to read it!

Plastique is for colour lovers, rule breakers and people who care about the planet 💗♻️

Plastique is for people who love bold design, joyful colour and meaningful choices.
It’s for those who want their accessories to say something — about creativity, individuality and sustainability.

Whether you wear my jewellery, join a workshop, or simply follow along for inspiration, you’re part of a community that believes waste deserves a second chance.
And honestly — I wouldn’t want it any other way. 💫

If this sounds like you, welcome — I’m so glad you’re here.

Currently working on… spring workshops 🌸♻️

This April I’ll be returning to Bow Arts Garden Club at the Lakeside Centre for a special spring workshop where we’ll be transforming single-use plastic waste into bright, waterproof flower decorations.

Participants will learn how to cut, shape and assemble discarded plastic bottles and containers into colourful sculptural flowers that can live indoors or outside in the garden.

These designs are made entirely from rescued materials — the best colours often come from everyday items like:

• cleaning spray bottles
• bleach and household containers
• fizzy drinks bottles
• takeaway trays and lids
• aloe vera juice bottles
• fruit netting and soft plastics

Each flower ends up completely unique, depending on the colours and textures people bring along.

The images here are examples of flowers created in previous workshops — and they’re always full of personality.

I’m really looking forward to welcoming a new group of makers to experiment, play and turn waste into something joyful.

I make products entirely from rescued waste plastic ♻️✨

Every design by Plastique starts life as discarded plastic — collected, cleaned, collaged, heat-pressed and transformed by hand.
No two sheets are ever the same, which means no two designs are either. Each piece is completely unique, full of colour, texture and story.
These are joyful with purpose — designed to make you smile, start conversations and rethink waste.
Colour lovers, planet protectors and bold dressers… this one’s for you. 💗♻️

✨ TRIAL & ERROR… but make it aesthetic ✨
Today’s prompt is Trial & Error, and honestly… my whole photography journey could be its own mini‑series.

Swipe ➡️ to see the glow‑up unfold:
From my latest dreamy shots by Dan Candler Creative, back through the eras of…
• the hand‑made plaster cylinders I built in my
• the hand‑cut coloured paper phase
• the chaotic early AI backgrounds (floating jewellery and all)
• the phone‑flat‑lay era
• all the way to the very first photos taken in my hand at the London Made Me shop — where Plastique was born (and yes, my first ever logo makes a cameo)
Every stage felt like guessing, testing, tweaking, and sometimes cringing… but that’s the magic. We grow because we try. We evolve because we experiment. And every “oops” becomes part of the story.

Here’s to the messy middle, the breakthroughs, and the glow‑ups still to come ✨

This is what turning waste into jewellery actually looks like… ♻️✨

Swipe through and you’ll see that Plastique is never just one photo on a pink backdrop.
It starts with people.
Donated mailing bags from small business friends like — me carefully cutting off labels and tape in my tiny studio so nothing ruins the melt.
Litter picks with Robert (Eco Bob) from CIC — gathering plastic that would have ended up in waterways. Sorting it. Bagging it. Saving it.
Huge bundles of colourful veg netting rescued and laid out across my floor like treasure.
Designs carefully collaged before they go into the heat press.
Workshops at Bow Arts Lakeside Centre — messy tables, busy hands, conversations flowing, plastic everywhere in the best way.
And then… the finished piece. (Cover image)
Photographed properly. Lit beautifully. Captured by Dan Candler so it can exist beyond my studio walls.
What you see on the grid is the polished final moment.
What you don’t always see is the community, collaboration, cutting, collecting, sorting, experimenting and showing up.
Behind every pair of earrings and accessory is a whole story.
And honestly — that’s my favourite part. 💗♻️

Today, I thought I would share a bit more of my little work space.
Obviously, working from home is a lot different from the studio I used to have, but I think I've managed to adapt the space quite well and keep it neat and presentable.
I have very organised labelled cupboards, drawers and trays to make sure everything has its own place to live!

My favourite and most used element is definitely my tool box and findings tray and most over bits and pieces are for the workshops I teach.

How does your workspace look?
